Why Flint

Stoves designed by people who understand the complete installation.

Flint is the new stove range from Midtherm, the West Midlands heating specialist with more than fifty years of experience in flues and chimney systems.

01

At home in the country

The Flint burns dry seasoned wood cleanly and steadily — controllable warmth for traditional rooms, hour after hour.

02

Designed for modern living

A wide glass door keeps the fire in full view, with A+ energy efficiency and low emissions.

03

Made for town and city

Flint stoves are recommended as suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas when burning dry wood logs.

04

5-Year Warranty

Flint is supplied with a 5-Year Warranty for the original retail purchaser, covering the stove body and cast iron or steel construction against manufacturing defects.

05

Simple to run

In use, the stoves are deliberately simple. Primary air handles lighting and boost; the secondary air wash keeps the glass clear and feeds the main burn; tertiary air completes combustion for cleaner emissions.

06

Straightforward to install

Every model takes a standard 5-inch (125 mm) collar, with the same 110 mm spigot-to-back dimension across the range to simplify installation and replacement.

An optional clip-in multifuel grate kit is available for all three models, along with an optional direct external air intake kit for airtight and modern builds — both fitted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Flexible by design

Wood burning today. Multifuel flexibility when required.

Optional kit

Clip-in multifuel grate kit

Each Flint stove is designed as a wood-burning appliance. For additional flexibility, an optional approved clip-in multifuel grate kit is available for the Flint 5, Flint 5 Wide and Flint 8. Use only the approved kit specified for the appliance model and follow the fitment, operation, fuel-suitability and maintenance instructions supplied with the kit.

Optional kit

Optional external air

An optional direct external air intake kit is also available across the range. Where fitted, use only the approved kit for the appliance model. It must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturer-approved fitting instructions and current installation requirements.

Flue systems

Complete the installation

Midtherm can also support the flue side of the project. For a new chimney route, an insulated twin-wall system such as Midtherm HT-S may provide the solution. For a suitable existing masonry chimney, a solid-fuel flexible liner may be appropriate. Final flue selection and installation must always be made by a competent installer in accordance with Building Regulations and the relevant product instructions.
